According to information from Cyprus Tourism, Austria and Switzerland will be downgraded to level C starting Thursday. For trips from these countries to Cyprus, a negative PCR test and a two-week quarantine is required. On day 14 another PCR test must be performed. Tourist trips are almost impossible with this. Spain, France, Croatia and the Czech Republic also belong to category C.
Austria had already been placed in category B in August. Cyprus carries out these risk assessments for CoV propagation on a weekly basis. Group B guests, including Belgium, Greece and Italy, must have undergone a laboratory test at least 72 hours prior to departure and have a negative PCR test. It is unclear how long this classification will apply to Austria, said Cyprus Tourism.
